Blocks was founded as a platform with the vision to become the leading provider of rehabilitation and long-term care services in Southeast Europe. The company is present in Bulgaria with long-term care and rehabilitation hospital is in advanced construction phase. Bulgaria is Block’s first country of operations. It is currently developing one of the largest health and social care projects in the country. Blocks Medical City is the largest ever project in rehabilitation and long-term care in Bulgaria and Southeast Europe. It is an integrated community offering a full range of post-acute care services ranging from rehabilitation, through long-term care, skilled nursing, memory care to end-of life care. Blocks Dragalevtsi Village is a nursing facility of family type, which consists of 13 single houses with 8 to 10 residents each. Blocks Village is in line with the latest evidence-based practice in operating long-term care facilities.

The objective of the house is to re-socialize the residents and create a warm and hospitable living environment. Blocks Hospice is a successor of Tokuda Hospice, one of the oldest and most reputable inpatient hospices in Bulgaria. It has a total of 43 hospice inpatient beds. With a total area of 2,000 sq.m in 4 stories. The hospice has an excellent location as part of the whole campus with all rooms facing the Vitosha mountain. The hospice is led by Prof. Nikolay Yordanov, the leading specialist in Bulgaria in hospice and palliative care. Blocks Rehabilitation Center will be a world-class facility consisting a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation and acute inpatient rehabilitation. The design of the building will be blended into the existing greenery and landscaping of the campus to promote relaxing and health promoting atmosphere. The rehabilitation center will treat both adult and pediatric patients and will have the following main integrated clinical practice centers: neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, pediatric rehabilitation and cancer rehabilitation.
